My grandmother used to tell me amazing stories about the woman she once dreamed of becoming, and I thought she was larger than life — a true Mother of Gods. But when I finally followed my own dreams and became who I really was, she rejected that part of me. This song is about loving her, grieving that contradiction, and choosing not to make myself smaller just to fit the version of me she remembered.
